Ribbon updated for RW 4.0

Updater_128x128
We're working through updating our themes to be fully compatible with RapidWeaver 4.0, which will soon be available. Instead of going through our traditional process of updating a theme, we have made an update installer.

This updater will only replace the files being updated saving you the hassle of having to delete your old theme and possibly resetting all of your theme variations.

The updater for our Ribbon theme can be downloaded here.

How exactly does this work? I downloaded it and ran it. The installer has a button named 'Install'. Then a sheet drops down that says "The installation has successfully finished". Does that mean the Ribbon files have updated or has it installed something else?

One of the biggest flaws with windows' programs is that they almost always use the standard 'yes, 'no', and 'cancel' button in the standard dialog. Apple has always stressed using descriptive buttons and the Ribbon updater should do just that. If the installer updates the files then instead of a button that says 'Install' it should say 'Update' or 'Update Ribbon Files'. Instead of 'The installation has successfully finished' the message should be 'All Ribbon files have been updated' if that is what happened.

Sorry, I have no choice over the installer button titles. It is not a program I wrote from scratch. Just a quick way to create updates for the themes.

The installer does what it says. It installs new files WITHIN the Ribbon theme. It will not make a new theme, nor overwrite the existing one, but add files INTO the existing theme.

Hope this helps clear it up a bit.
